Four steps from a room measurement to a rug on your floor

Nothing goes on the loom until you have approved a scaled drawing and held the yarn in your own hand.

01 · Measure

Send dimensions, or we visit and measure. We work around columns, curves, fireplaces and stair treads.

02 · Choose

Material, pile height, knot density and design. We dye wool to match a fabric, a paint chip or a photograph.

03 · Approve

A scaled drawing and physical yarn samples come to you. Nothing is woven until you sign it off.

04 · Weave & deliver

Knotted by hand, washed, finished and shipped. We deliver and lay it in Hong Kong, and ship worldwide.

Thirty Years of Returning Customers

Most of our work now comes from people we sold to years ago, or from the designers they recommended us to.

We had a fourteen-metre hallway and every supplier told us it would need two rugs joined in the middle. CustomRug wove it in one piece. You cannot see a seam because there isn't one.

They matched the wool to a cushion I brought in. I was sceptical. When the samples arrived I held them against the fabric in daylight and could not tell them apart.

Our silk rug had a moth patch the size of a hand. I assumed it was finished. They rewove it and I genuinely cannot find where the damage was.

We specify rugs for hospitality projects and lead times usually slip. Theirs haven't. Drawings arrive when promised and the rug arrives when promised.

Rented six rugs for a three-week show flat. Delivered, laid, collected, no fuss. The flat sold and the client bought two of them.

They talked me out of a more expensive rug. Said the design wouldn't use the extra knot density and I'd be paying for detail I couldn't see. That is why I went back to them twice.
